Rural Development Society Registration Process Simplified

The Department of Rural Development, Central Province, has introduced a simplified registration process for rural development societies to encourage more communities to participate in development activities.

New Registration Requirements

To register a rural development society, the following documents are now required:

  1. Completed application form (available at Divisional Secretariats)
  2. List of founding members (minimum 15 members)
  3. Proposed constitution of the society
  4. Letter of recommendation from Grama Niladhari
  5. Minutes of the inaugural meeting
